NAMTA 2009 is just a few short weeks away.
I'm going to go to the Kentucky Derby and I still haven't found the perfect hat. I'm not much of a hat person but I think for this one event, I'm going to break down and wear one..or maybe not. I'm almost 6' tall and with a hat...who knows maybe 6'5 -wouldn't you like to sit or stand behind me!
I've looked at the gallery of hat pictures on the Kentucky Derby web site and wow, there are some really wild and fun ones.
Since all of us attending NAMTA are connected to the art material industry-I'm going to make my own hat. After all, I have access to art materials!
I'm going to title my hat "Win Gold with DANIEL SMITH"
Materials supply list-
Big brimmed floppy hat
DANIEL SMITH Extra Fine Watercolor paint tubes
lots of pretty ribbon
and perhaps some brushes to tuck in for good measure.
Will I really wear it, not sure -but I'll have it in the booth just for fun!
